The METZ CONNECT energy meters MR-(F)-SM4x enable current measurements with current transformer and direct measurement of voltages at up to 3 phases + neutral conductor (L1, L2, L3, N). Direct communication with higher-level systems for the processing and evaluation of data is carried out via the standardised Modbus RTU protocol. In combination with the METZ CONNECT Modbus RTU Gateway MR-(F)-GW, the acquired data is seamlessly integrated into IP-based (modbus TCP) network structures for further processing. In combination of the energy meters with the METZ CONNECT data logger EWIO2-M-(BM), the energy data can be recorded for processing and visualisation at configurable time intervals, or read out by higher-level systems via modbus TCP and BACnet/IP.
