Measuring and monitoring relays, current monitoring, EIW-C18
Task
An adjustable, self-sufficient measuring/monitoring relay should be used to monitor machine systems for exceeding or falling below set current values in order to avoid damage to the system or piece goods.

Solution
The EIW-C18 is used to monitor direct and alternating currents in live systems. If the set values are exceeded or not reached, a switching process is triggered. The integrated 7-segment display provides information on the causes of errors. The type of current to be measured (AC or DC), an upper and a lower threshold value, the response delay and the error memory (on or off) can be set via manual input on the device. The two current measuring ranges can be selected via the connection terminals. An error can be acknowledged directly on the device or via an external contact.
