Measuring and monitoring relay PFD3-E12 | Evacuation operation elevator control
In the event of a power failure, many elevator systems automatically switch to a so-called power supply such as emergency power generators or a UPS. This guarantees an automatic evacuation drive to at least the next stop and the elevator door can be opened.
Task
If the main supply of the elevator system fails, there should be an automatic switchover to the USV.
Solution
The PFD3-E12 monitors the phase voltage for total failure. If the main supply fails, the output relay switches to the USV. Thanks to the emergency supply, the car can be moved at evacuation speed.
