Routers and gateways
Gateways and routers serve as bidirectional communication interfaces for various communication protocols in building and industrial automation.
Modbus gateways and BACnet routers enable the simple integration of Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP devices into a Modbus TCP or BACnet/IP network (e.g. the METZ CONNECT Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP IO modules, or devices from other manufacturers)
This makes the registers or objects and resources of the Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP devices available to a building management system (BMS). For encrypted data communication, the BACnet/SC (Secure Connect) router routes from BACnet MS/TP or BACnet/IP networks into a secure and encrypted BACnet/SC network.
