The web-based 24/7 portal solution not only offers constant availability of up-to-date and standardized device data, but also significant time savings in the configuration compared to the manual creation of the data record.


Step 2: the data quality

METZ CONNECT data sets are fully digitized and therefore a basic requirement for efficient engineering. With our high-quality and refined EPLAN device data, we are already differentiating ourselves from many market competitors. We offer the designer of tomorrow the highest quality device data 4.0. Every data record is meticulously maintained by us and stored with all relevant information.

Step 3: the continuity

The digital device data can be used for the various processes during the construction of the control cabinet. Whether in the commercial area, in the project planning or manufacturing process, the designer can access uniform device data from METZ CONNECT for the entire value chain.

Virtual wiring of the construction

Our circuit diagram macros are stored with all relevant technical information such as function definition, connection cross-section and the connection assignment. Automatic routing of the cabling is possible via an additional 3D structure of the control cabinet. For the wiring of the control cabinet, the worker is provided with a wiring list with the source and destination of the respective cable connection as well as a prefabricated cable set with individual wire labeling. This can save up to 30 % of costs when manufacturing the control cabinet.

Fully automatic CNC controlled cabinet processingg

Our data sets contain all mechanical and relevant manufacturing data such as B. Hole patterns, housing dimensions and installation clearances. The data is transferred directly to a CNC milling machine via an interface. This enables fully automatic production of the mounting plates and switch cabinet cutouts.
