OpDAT slide2 K and OpDAT slide2 BO

Fiber optic patch panels for space-saving or structured breakout installations

With the new OpDAT slide² K and OpDAT slide² BO variants, METZ CONNECT is expanding its proven OpDAT slide² fiber optic patch panel series. Both models are specially designed to meet the requirements of modern networks and data centers and offer decisive advantages in terms of space savings, flexibility, and ease of installation.

OpDAT slide2 K and OpDAT slide2 BO

OpDAT slide2 K

The new OpDAT slide² K fits seamlessly into the new generation of OpDAT patch panels. It is based on the well-known OpDAT slide². Highlights include a reduction in box depth of around 30% compared to the OpDAT slide² and angled cable entries. The reduced depth and slanted cable entries enable use in 19-inch data cabinets with front and rear mounting on the same height unit. In addition, installation in 19-inch wall cabinets is made easier. In general, the new OpDAT slide² K is the first choice when space is limited. The rear of the OpDAT slide² has four M20 cutouts in the splice version. The prefab installation cable version has four U-shaped cutouts. In both versions (Splice/Prefab), two of the four cable entries can be used simultaneously.

Your advantages
  • Installations in confined spaces
  • Angled cable entries for easier cable routing
  • Optimal use of space thanks to optional front or rear mounting
  • Versatile connections:
    4 M20 or U cutouts

OpDAT slide2 BO

The new OpDAT slide² BO variant expands the existing slide² series with a solution specially optimized for breakout and solid-core cables. The housing is based on the proven OpDAT slide² system, but has been adapted to the requirements of breakout or solid core cable applications in terms of cable management and strain relief. It offers sufficient space for the introduction and fixing of cables with direct connection of the individual fibers to standard couplings. The integrated cable guide and optional strain relief ensure a structured and secure installation. Cable routing at the rear is achieved via a brush entry made of thermoplastic and a strain relief strip designed so that the cables can be secured with two cable ties, enabling double strain relief. This design protects the fibers from dust and mechanical stress, enables orderly insertion with high packing density, and ensures secure cable fixation.

Your advantages
  • For breakout and full-load cables
  • Structured cable management thanks to integrated cable routing
  • Double strain relief with cable ties
  • High protection and durability with brush entry

Prefab installation Cable |  OpDAT slide² BO

This variant of the OpDAT slide² BO is optimized for connecting breakout or solid core cables. These include both prefab installation cables and cables equipped with the OpDAT FASTTM connector. The patch panel is equipped with couplings. Incoming cables are secured to the integrated strain relief strip using two cable ties per cable and routed from there to the coupling.

Front plates

The connector cut-outs on the new front plate are arranged in a user-friendly manner so that each connector can be easily removed or inserted. The front plates can also be ordered with mixed components. The front plates are available for the following adapter cut-outs.

SC-S / LC-D / E2000-S
