OpDAT MV
The OpDAT MV is a highly flexible distributor housing for fiber optic and copper applications, which can be equipped with its modular components to suit your individual needs. The IP54 variant of the lightweight plastic housing has 2 separately lockable doors which allow to separate the installer area from the customer area without affecting the flexibility of the further distribution. The IP65 variant has a screw-on cover that provides a high level of protection against dust and water, allowing it to be used in harsher environments.

Basic housing
The base of the OpDAT MV is a robust plastic housing with different cable inlets and outlets. Depending on the desired IP protection there are 2 variants of the housing:

The IP54 variant has 2 separately lockable doors separating the installation side from the customer side. This installer/customer separation protects the installer's work from unauthorized access by third parties, while the end user still has the ability to access the patch panel unhindered. Each IP54 housing is factory-fitted with a slotted foam to protect the outgoing connections from dust.

The IP65 variant has a screw-down cover. This ensures protection against water and dust even in harsher environments. To protect the connectors of the outgoing cables, the IP65 housing is equipped with an ICOTEK® frame, which can be equipped with various inserts.
With the elegant and simple design of METZ CONNECT, the housings fit discreetly into any environment.
Equipment variants
The 5 equipment variants provide the basis for the most common applications. The selection of accessories enables you to further adapt these configurations to your application if required. All equipment variants are available in both IP54 and IP65 versions.
The "unequipped" variant allows free scope for equipping. It contains only the housing without additional fittings. With the help of the accessories, this equipment can be individually designed.

In this configuration, a perforated plate is already installed. Various components such as boxes or distribution panels can be mounted on it. The maximum height of the mounted parts may not exceed 67 mm.

With the "Hybrid" equipment, both fiber optic and copper installations can be made. The pre-installed patch panel offers space for up to 12 modules, allowing RJ45, COAX or LC-D connections to be combined in one housing. At the outlet, the outgoing cables can be fixed at the strain relief.

Order details
Prepared for splicing optical fibers, the basic housings with "Splice" equipment already contain splice trays with pre-installed pigtails as well as a patch field with the matching couplings. The pigtails are ready for splicing and placed in the splice trays. The connectors are plugged into the couplings after visual inspection. The splice trays can be selected for both crimp and shrink splice holders.

Order details
This equipment is prepared for installation and further distribution of prefab FO cables. The basic housing already contains the appropriate patch field equipped with the desired couplings. This means that the incoming cable only has to be laid down and plugged into the couplings.

To increase the capacity of the housings, the housings can be lined up and completed with the Ø 34 mm connector.
The single circuit splice trays used allow good accessibility and therefore easy installation. The housing provides space for 2 tray blocks for up to 144 splices.
Patch panels
Patch panels with different installation cut-outs allow the installation of all commercially available fiber optic connectors or copper modules. All patch panels are made of sheet steel and can be quickly and easily retrofitted in the housing with the supplied partition.
Cable glands
For mounting and strain relief of all incoming cables you can choose between different cable glands.
Gasket sets IP65
Each IP65 housing is equipped with an ICOTEK® frame. These can be equipped with different inserts depending on the cable type and application. The system makes it possible to route all outgoing cables out of the housing in a dust-proof and watertight manner.
