Current news about METZ CONNECT
Due to the modernization and further development of modular devices, as well as the need for high contact reliability and shortest connection times, the understanding of device manufacturers is changing from the proven screw connection technology to the spring force technology (push-in technology).
With its start in the 80s in telephone technology, the RJ45 gradually conquered data connection technology. It is an integral part of today's building technology and cabling as well as data centers.
The application rule VDE-AR-N 4100: 2019-04 came into effect on April 1, 2019 and prepares the meter cabinet for future requirements of the energy transition.
With the Ultraflex500 patch cord from METZ CONNECT, you no longer need special patch cords with preferred outgoing directions such as to the right, left, up or down. Due to the extremely short grommets molded onto the connector, bending radii of less than 10mm are possible. In combination with a very flexible and robust cable, you achieve an unprecedented flexibility for your application for use with VoIP devices, cameras, WiFi hotspots and other cramped applications.
More and more subjects in buildings (e.g. lightning, heating, ventilation…) are now networking in the world of building automation. Communication plays a very important role, which in turn requires standards to ensure that it functions safely and smoothly.
Here BACnet has developed worldwide as the standard communication protocol in building automation. BACnet has been standardized since 2003 in ISO standard 16484-5 and was established under the auspices of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). ASHRAE is a professional association of all heating, cooling, ventilation and air conditioning engineers in the USA.
